Sam Spratt’s Luci series blends digital painting and poetry to trace a journey from solitude toward collective humanity. Its latest chapter, X. Masquerade, is a large-scale digital painting that unfolds as a collaborative storytelling experience with Spratt’s collector community. Trained as a painter, Spratt combines classical technique with digital innovation through a custom generative AI engine trained on his own archive, down to individual brushstrokes. Each work fuses machine-generated echoes of the past with present, handmade interventions, creating a living system that continuously evolves.
