The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
[Title Sequence Reveal, Styleframes]This is a title sequence reveal I created for the film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and is primarily shot on photography.
In the sequence, I focus on close-up shots of acrylic letter forms using the ambiguous and eerie environment as transitional elements. The usage of tape, frosted glass, humidity, and environment shots are framing devices to convey unsettling mysteriousness.
Process
My process began by experimenting with different perspectives, lighting, and focal points of the 3D letterforms. I photographed the letterforms and then added additional elements such as vaporform, condensation, and humidity to the frame. I then photo composited the different elements I shot into the final frames.
